Eucharistic Procession through the snow! My son Karl got to incense the Blessed Sacrament during our Eucharistic Procession through the streets around our parish for today’s Solemnity of Christ the King. May our Eucharistic Lord always reign over all our lives, all our choices, all or relationships, all our desires. May His will be done in us. May we always welcome Jesus as King in our hearts. Happy solemnity of Christ the King!Image attachmentImage attachment+2Image attachment

Early Christian Thanksgiving took place here, where St. Clement opened his home for celebrating the Eucharist in Rome. How fitting that the American Thanksgiving falls this year on the Catholic feast of this great 1st century pope and martyr Saint Clementβ€” third successor to the papacy after St. Peter (96 AD)! Down in these 1st century excavations of St Clement’s home in Rome, we can ponder the martyrs who risked their lives for giving thanks to God in the Holy Mass. As Catholics, we have so much to be thankful forβ€”most, especially the gift of Jesus Himself in the Eucharist! St. Clement, pray for us on your feast today!Image attachmentImage attachment+6Image attachment

Congrats to my sons Karl & Luke making it to the State Finals for their high school soccer team! After every game the team takes a knee to sing the Salve Regina together at the center of the field. They got to play on a pro team field in Colorado Springs on a beautiful fall day this weekend and sing the Salve there, too. It’s the first season Karl & Luke have ever been able to play on the same team now that Luke is a freshman at the same school. So fun to see them combine on the pitch! Luke had 8 goals this season, while his older brother Karl had 9. Congrats to the team on a great run this year, making it to state finals for the first time in the school’s history and for beautiful soccer all season.Image attachmentImage attachment+5Image attachment

Praying today for all souls who have passed away, especially family members, teachers, benefactors, friends, babies, and those souls who have no one to pray for them. β€œMay the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.”
